Aleph Objects Expands into Europe, Opens HQ in the Netherlands

Aleph Objects, the Colorado-based manufacturer of Lulzbot 3D printers, is expanding its business into Europe with new headquarters in the Netherlands.

Aleph Objects, the company behind the wildly successful LulzBot line of 3D printers, announced the opening of a new headquarters in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The move gives the company a physical presence to support and nurture its operations with customers and resellers in the European market.

Grant Flaharty, Aleph Objects CEO and President, explains: “European revenue growth in 2019 alone is expected to reach triple digits, with a projected overall representation of more than 30% of our future business… The European expansion follows the recent introduction of two new 3D printers this year.”

The printers launched this year include the LulzBot TAZ Pro, which is Aleph Object’s “first-ever industrial desktop 3D printer”, and the LulzBot TAZ Workhorse, which was released earlier this month.

An Aleph Objects press release explains that to ensure future business in Europe is achievable, it has set up a new holding company, Aleph Objects Europe Holding B.V.

Aleph Objects Expands into Europe

Aleph Objects’ new European location is a stone’s throw from Amsterdam and the Hague, in what is known as the “administrative heart” and “gateway” to Europe. This move provides the company with a space to give consultation, close customer support, and even product demonstrations.

As the company focuses on providing better and more capable machines — industrial even, in their own words — the move also brings them closer to the stomping grounds of Ultimaker, arguably Lulzbot’s biggest competitor and another prosumer 3D printer manufacturer that has tightened its focus on enterprise-grade printing solutions for professionals.

The Aleph Objects press release states: “The entrepreneurial spirit and real-life testing of engineering in this urbanized delta are a great fit with collaborative engineering solutions of LulzBot 3D Printers based on Free Software, Libre Innovation, and Open Source Hardware.”

Last year, Aleph Objects received 80 awards and is now working on “rapidly expanding” into the additive manufacturing market for professional and industrial printing.

The company’s printers are used by the US Military and automotive teams, thanks to their dependable performance. It’s likely that business in Europe will be booming for Aleph Objects.Visit the Lulzbot website to find out more.
